+## Unblock a blocked item
+
+**Note**: This article only applies to users who have created their own custom filter.
+
+Sometimes a custom filter you created can block a website element that you want to view. In this instance, you must revise the filter or remove it. For information about writing and maintaining custom filters, visit [https://adblockplus.org/filters].
+
+**Chrome**
+
+1. Click the **Chrome menu icon** in the upper right corner of the toolbar and select **Settings**.
+<br>The *Settings* window opens.
+2. Select **Extensions** from the left menu.
+3. Locate Adblock Plus and click **Options**.
+<br>The *Adblock Plus Options* window opens.
+4. Select the **Add your own filters** tab.
+5. Select the filter you want to remove and click **Remove selected**.
+6. Close the tab.
+
+**Firefox**
+
+1. Click the **Firefox menu icon** in the upper right corner of the toolbar and select **Add-ons**.
+<br>The *Add-ons Manager* tab opens.
+2. Select **Extensions** from the left menu.
+3. Select Adblock Plus and click **Options** (Windows) / **Preferences** (Mac).
+4. Click **Filter preferences**.
+<br>The *Adblock Plus Filter preferences* window opens.
+5. Select the **Custom Filters** tab.
+6. Right-click a group and select **Show/hide filters**.
+7. Remove the respective filters from the right window.
+8. Close the tab.
+
+**Internet Explorer**
+
+1. From the status bar located at the bottom of your browser, click the **Adblock Plus icon** and select **Settings**.
+<br>**Tip**: If you do not see the Adblock Plus icon, right-click the tab bar (the empty area near the tabs) and select **Status bar**.
+2. Click **Manage**.
+3. Select the filter you want to remove and click **Remove selected**.

+**Maxthon 5**
+
+1. Click the **Maxthon menu icon** in the upper right corner of the toolbar, hover over **Tools** and select **Extensions**.

+2. Locate Adblock Plus and click **Options**.

+3. Select the **Add your own filters** tab.
+4. Right-click (Windows)/Control-click (Mac) the filter you want to remove and click **Delete**.
+5. Click **Done**.

+**Maxthon 4.9**
+
+1. Click the **Adblock Plus icon** and select **Adblock Plus Options**.

+2. Select the **Add your own filters** tab.
+3. Right-click (Windows)/Control-click (Mac) the filter you want to remove and click **Delete**.
+4. Click **Done**.

+**Opera**
+
+1. Click the **Opera menu icon** in the upper left corner of the toolbar, hover over **Extensions** and select **Manage extensions**.

+2. Select **All** from the left menu.
+3. Locate Adblock Plus and click **Options**.

+4. Select the **Add your own filters** tab.
+5. Select the filter you want to remove and click **Remove selected**.
+6. Close the tab.

+**Safari**
+
+1. From the Safari toolbar, click the **Adblock Plus icon** and select **Options**.

+2. Select the **Add your own filters** tab.
+3. Select the filter you want to remove and click **Remove selected**.
+4. Close the window.
+
+**Yandex.Browser**
+
+1. Click the **Yandex.Browser menu icon** and select **Extensions**.
+<br>The *Extensions* tab opens.
+2. Locate Adblock Plus and click **More details**.
+3. Click **Options**.
+<br>The *Adblock Plus Options* tab opens.
+4. Select the **Add your own filters** tab.
+5. Select the filter you want to remove and click **Remove selected**.
