For consistency here, we should always have the same way to access the
extension. For example, with the situation given here in Maxthon, if the user
has
the extension disabled, then there would not be any ABP icon for them to select.
In addition to this, some browsers allow hiding of icons in the extensions bar,
so it's safer for the user to navigate to the extensions page from within the
browser menu first.

In Maxthon 5+ the steps are as follows:

Select the Options Menu from the top right
Select Tools
Select Extensions

Good points. What if we always go the short way via the ABP icon but add some
"What if I don't see the ABP icon" section as include everywhere?

I guess we could do this, but then we just add more content to the help centre.
If creating more content isn't an issue, then we could just link that in-between
the first and second step.

There is a hiding/showing ABP icon topic. I'd prefer to leave it as the "long
way."

Since this is a common issue on many platforms, I wonder if we should crosslink
to the ABP icon hiding article with smtg like "What if I don't see the ABP icon"
from every such text, otherwise we take the user to a detour in all cases or
leave him searching for this issue himself.

Yep. Maxthon 5 was released somewhat recently. I wonder if we need to describe
both ways then, maybe Vicky has insights on the user distribution.

+3. If a website that you don't want to view ads on appears in the box, select the website and click **Remove selected**.
+4. Click **Done**.
+5. Close the window.

Step 4 already closes the window in Maxthon 5.
